Hockey Outreach is a project to reach out to children to engage themselves in India's national game. Sport in schools is almost becoming extinct. The need of the hour is to lay a strong base to develop the sporting structure in the country. Thus this project attempts to construct a sport development model (SDM), involving our national sport. This grassroot development plan envisages the application of this SDM to other sports in due course of time.

Financial resources
The success of the project depends entirely on your support and generosity. The sports lovers and promoters can support the project in a number of ways. The following will be the commitment of the project.
· Equipment like hockey sticks, balls, protective equipment, goalkeeping kits, training equipment like flags, cones etc.
· Tournament expenses like Conduct of tournaments, refreshments for players and officials, officials’ expenses (honorarium etc.), prizes etc.
· Uniforms for the children, officials and sponsors.
· Sponsor a team
· Sponsor of hockey sticks, ball, goalkeeping kits etc.
· Team uniforms.

Prospects
The main aim of this Project is to develop the children (grassroot) in the game of hockey, and to feed the talent to the nation. Talented and selected candidates will be provided an opportunity to represent the district team in the state competitions, and efforts will be made to get admissions into the Sports Authority of India hostels. The whole idea is to develop the players as the best team in the state and eventually prepare them to don the colours of the nation. This will be entirely possible given the technical plans and procedures which are in the pipeline. Every child deserves the right to explore its talents to its potential and this foundation provides just the required opportunity. DK is a pioneer in many an area and let us add sports development as one of them.
